An Exceptional book, especially when read by someone who knows about Asperger's syndrome. Deeply truthful and emotional, you will not be able to put this book down.

The story is compelling and you will be gunning for Christopher the whole way through. This is a book that absolutely everyone should read.

i am not quite sure why this book received so much publicity and praise, as when i read it did not give me quite the deep impression as it gave many readers. it is well written and extremely clever, with out a doubt, but not worth ranking as one of the best books of say the century. 3 stars

This is fabulous - I couldn't put it down. Having a child with Asperger's (although nowhere near as pronounced as the character in the book), it was written so authentically. It was great to be able to laugh with the condition, although sections of it were very painful as well.
I also didn't realise this was written as a children's book - as an adult, I definitely enjoyed it and felt it was excellent for an adult audience.

I didn't realise that this was meant to be a children's book when I picked it up. That said, it was really well written - the voice was very authentic, not too dumbed down, which is usually what happens when adults try to write like little kids.

That said, this book can get a bit grating on the nerves, purely because of the tangents and long winded twists the protagonist makes throughout the book. Otherwise, it is a very well written book and hard to put down. Give it a go.

The style of the writing of this book you will either love or hate, it is told from the point of view of a boy with aspergers syndrome who has the behavioural patterns similar to high functioning autism. personally the style erked me after a short time so I didn't gain as much enjoyment from the book, but if you enjoy a challange and would enjoy the realism added by this style then this is for you.

Fabulous book. Not a topic that would normally interest me, but it was so well written and I found myself thinking about it for days/weeks afterward. Looking forward to reading his next book.

This book has a very interesting storyline about a 15-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome with autistic behaviour. As he tries to find the murderer of his neighbours dog. Very interesting, because it can be enjoyed by a simple child or the mind of an adult if you try to perceive and understand the morals of this novel.

This is an incredibly well written novel, narrated by a 15 year old autistic boy as he tries to unravel the mysterious murder of his neighbour's dog. The author obviously has a good deal of knowledge about ASD - he has all the details and behaviours down pat! As our narrator, Christopher, hunts for the dog's murderer, he gradually uncovers a few pretty traumatic family secrets, which he copes with in his own unique manner. "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" is easy to read, moving, and also very funny, and would appeal adults as well as kids, probably 12 years old and up.
