Wow, this book is unputdownable. It really gets you inside Christopher's head, while at the same time communicating all the nuance of life that is indecipherable to him. Sometimes beautiful, and sometimes an absolute gutpunch.
Loved it, recommend to anyone and everyone!

This book has been lauded by critics, and justly so. Telling the story through the eyes of an Asperger's sufferer (Asperger's syndrome is 'higher order' autism - people with very high IQ scores who are not capable of interacting correctly with other people), the author writes a touching, believable tale.
The book starts with the hero, Christopher, discovering that his neighbour's dog has been murdered. Christopher then tries to solve the mystery of the murder, discovering some interesting secrets along the way.
It is well written, easy to read and contains some fascinating, random facts!

This was a fun book. However, I'd like to point out that it is
IN NO WAY REFLECTIVE OF ASPERGER'S SYNDROME.
If you're looking for a fun novel, read the book. If you're looking for insight into the ASD, READ SOMETHING ELSE. I quite liked Look Me In The Eye by John Elder Robison (brother of Augusten Burroughs), which contains quite a bit of information. This is coming from somebody with the condition. Thanks.

I loved this book. The only book i have ever read where the line between reader and the character became blurred. I felt like I was living the experiences of the narrator. It is only a short book so perfect sunday afternoon material.

This is a really neat book, although it appears to be aimed at children/ teenagers it seems that adults would get more out of it as it is a very intellectual read. The narrator christopher is a character every reader will love by the end of the novel, a must read for sure!

An excellent book, just as enjoyable (or more) for adults as it is for young people. This is an inteligent and interesting read, quite a unique book. It gives an interesting insight into aspergers, which was great for anyone who hasnt experienced it or know anyone with it.
Throughoughly enjoyable!

Hugely entertaining. A book that is hard to put down and a real easy read.
It gives a great insight to asperges and I'm sure you will recognise a little of someone you know in the main character. Used by autistic societies to give care workers an insight into what sufferers experience.
Don't let the fact that this book has become somewhat of a medical guide book turn you off. It is quite literally a very good tale, told in an exciting and unusual way.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I first picked up this book on a whim while on holiday, and didn't put it down until it was finished. It's not often that such an unusual character captures my imagination the way this one did, but how could you not feel compassion for a boy who gets himself stuck in a train station for hours on end because of noise? Or who finds what kind of day he'll have by the colours of the cars passed on the way to school?

this is a great book , The author has written the book brilliantly , it gets a little bit annoying at times with the whole and then she said ...and then i said .....and then she said.... , but that was the only thing i didnt like about this book , the book is a masterpiece and deals with not just issues about people dealing with autism but he incoroporates the problems of normal people in as well
