IMmanuel Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason' is an incredibly difficult book to read. This translation is best accompanied with some sort of commentary or explanation which can put it in more simplistic terms. Kant's seperation of apriori synthetic judgements is an amazing discovery. Unfortunately, this philosophy was short lived thanks to the likes of Hegel and others. His ethics is probably worth a read, as it seems to be still applicable today in many cases. :)
Immanuel Kant had a huge influence on the philosophical world with this, his main work, the Critique of Pure Reason. In this text, Kant outlines his research into the distinction between A Priori and A Posteriori, analytic and synthetic forms of judgements. He then goes on to show space and time as transcendental.
Kant’s philosophy was groundbreaking in its day and still has a large following amongst some of the academic world. A must read for anybody interested in the subject.
