About the Author
Mary Todd Beam, painter, instructor, juror and lecturer, is a member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Ohio Watercolor Society and others. In addition to her book, Celebrate Your Creative Self, her work has appeared in many publications. She maintains a studio in Ohio, as well as one in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

I purchased this book also after purchasing her first two books. The presentation of her books are outstanding and packed full of useful information. The step by step instructions are fantastic and inspiring. I have purchased all her books and have not been disappointed with any of them. They are a great source of learning and teaching tool would highly recommend to any one who wants to broaden there artistic horizons.
I am relatively new to the world of mixed media art and, not so long ago, purchased Mary Todd Beam's first book titled, Celebrate Your Creative Self. I was so thrilled with the information in that book that I purchased The Creative Edge instantly and I was not disappointed. Firstly, I love the way the book is presented in hard cover with spiral bound pages inside. Page by page, it is filled with excellent information with lots of pictures and advice all designed to inspire the creativity within. Mary helps us to understand the power of colour, texture, and design giving great step-by-step instruction coupled with pictures. This book is a huge asset to my personal library and I would definitely recommend it to other artists.
