This is a great 'start here' cookbook for those of you who want to start baking cupcakes but have no idea how to begin!
It covers off basics like ingredients, decorating, papers, tools and supplies - it also tells the story of Melbourne's famous "Crapapple Cupcake Bakery" and it's owner Jennifer Graham (author).
I find all the recipes easy to follow and they always make more than the books says (I think I must use smaller papers), every single recipe I have tried from this book has turned out great and they will become your families bake again (and again and again) favourites.
Some of our favourite flavours to try are - White Chocolate and Raspberry, Church Picnic Carrot Cupcakes, Vanilla and the Chocolate Rock - gorgeous!
Mine is covered in flour and sugar and has sticky fingerprints on the pages, a sign of a well-loved and well-used cookbook.

This would have to be my very favourite book. So easy to follow with great pictures of each recipe and fantastic helpful hints and tips. The recipes are fantastic and all turn out perfectly (I've tried most of them so far). This is a fantastic book for anyone, but especially for newbies, although veterans will find the recipes delicious and will also still find the tips helpful.

This is a great book, and I own at leat 10 different cupcake books! Would be great for beginners, as it has sections on ingredients (did you know butter should be at room temperature?), icing techniques (including the signature swirl the bakery is famous for), and suggestions for decorating. The recipes are yummy, though a little heavy on eggs, and the plethora of icing and filling recipes are incredibly tempting. I'm off to make Nutella cupcakes right now!

The best cupcake book written! It has easy to follow step-by-step instructions as well as heaps of helpful hints that actually work! Not to mention thst cupcakes taste fantastic! I am slowly working my way through all the flavours!

I haven't tried all of the recipes from this book yet, but I would say that this is more a cook book that is just that, about cup cake recipes and not so strong on design or decoration. Still a great cup cake book 'though. It would be helpful to be able to see inside some of these types of books though, so you can have a better understanding of it's content.
