Like many others I'm a HUGE fan of JR Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood books, and sought out this serieswhile waiting for the next Brotherhood release. I must admit, it wasn't great. Having set both series in Caldwell, Ward tried a little too hard to tie the stories together using strange and unnecessary cameo appearances of Brotherhood members such as Phury and Butch.
I found this book a little tough going, the characters difficult to relate to and lacking Wards usual warmth.
Now having said that, I'm very glad I had read reviews before buying this book because you all REALLY need to know that the following books in this series are fantastic!! Ward hits her stride quick, her characters jump off the page, their personalities are big and beautiful, that wicked humour and banter between her male leads is back! So even though it's painful at times, this book is worth the effort because what follows is it's own reward.

This is a great series and this box set is excellent value - the covers may not be as erotic as later additions but the story remains the same. Garanteed great read if you are into vampric sassy warrier types. I hightly recommend this set. JR Ward is right up there with the likes of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Christine Feeham when it comes to fill on action, romance, frustratingly "human" miscomunications and fears. You fall in love with these charactors - wish you could go and kick them in the ar.. and tell them to sort their sh.. which just proves how good the writer really is... These books are an emotion buzz in a sureal world that could maybe just exsist???

you loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels by the same author than your sure to love this book too. J.R Ward's books are all exciting and can't-put-down kind of books and i'm sure this series will be no different. I can't wait to fall in love with these new characters just as i did with the characters from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

This novel is interesting and as the start of a series, paves the way for so much more in the furture. if you like stories of the real world with a twist and have an interest in the paranormal you will like this book. Ward is brilliant at developing the prrallel universe concept and in this universe angels and demons share our world and battle is on.
The central characters have enough flaws and internal dialogue to mke them intersting and believable. The ending is not predictable. A good read with added spice!

In true JR Ward style, Covet takes you on a journey full of suspence and romance. This was a very enjoyable story and looking forward to any other installments to come! No JR Ward collection would be complete without the new fallen angels.

Covet is another one of J.R Wards brilliant masterpieces. She manages to grab you within the first few sentences and doesn't release her hold until long after the book is finished. As she did with the black dagger brotherhood, Ward creates her characters for the reader. You sympathize with them, cry with them, laugh with them. What she does is absolutly amazing and something I've never come across before. If your a fan of the BDB, you are going to fall just as hard for the Angels. It is definitly a must read.

I waited with great anticipation for this new series by J.R. Ward. I could not have been more disappointed. After finally getting through this book, I do see that there is a good premise for the new Fallen Angels series. However, the characters are poorly developed, and not all that likable. The storyline jumps all over the place, and I was halfway through the book before it interested me at all. Ward has evidently decided that crude teenage language takes the place of real dialog. Occasionally I thought the book would finally get started, but it didn't. I just wanted to get it finished. I will try the next book to see if it improves
