Another in the fast paced, sensual and exciting Eve Dallas series. This is a detective series set about fifty-five years in the future. Eve is a police detective in New York City. She has a painful and barely remembered past. She is married to the handsome, handsome and unbelievably rich Roarke, but she still pursues the criminals on the streets of the city, it is her job and her life.
In Conspiracy in Death Eve is confronted by a series of murders where the victims were cut open with surgical precision and damaged organs removed. The victims are street people who would soon die anyway, so nobody takes much notice or cares, except Eve who sets off in pursuit of a killer surgeon.
What starts out as a bizarre case turns into a nightmare for Eve as she is confronted with a wall of silence; arrogant surgeons stonewall her, police inaction confounds her and political manipulation hampers her every move. Then a police college makes serious alligations against her, alligations that could lose her the job that means everything to her.
Accused of corruption and murder herself Eve is suspended from duty, but her friends rally around and together this small band confront a major conspiracy that reaches high into the political and medical realms, as well as into the heart of the police force. Can they defy the odds, clear Eve’s name and capture a mad surgeon before he strikes again?
This is yet another magnificent book in the Eve Dallas series. A sensual and sensational look into policing of the future. A wonderful read. More please.

In 'Conspiracy in Death', Lieutenant Eve Dallas faces not only a challenging case and a group of powerful people who don't want to talk to her, but also a bitterly jealous colleague whose unfair accusations could cost her everything. Just like in real life, it seems there are folks who resent Dallas' success - and will say and do *anything* to get her into trouble. And, just like in real life, even tough as nails Eve has to deal with her own emotions when it comes to defending herself against unfair accusations...
