About the Author
Arlene Tognetti has been studying Tarot and astrology since the 1970s and started her own practice in 1980. She began teaching the Tarot at the University of Washington in the Experimental College in 1982 and currently teaches the Tarot at Pierce College in Tacoma, Washington.

I am really impressed with this book. As the title suggests, it contains many tarot spreads. The information it provides is exceptional for a book of spreads, and it goes far beyond just spreads, giving a wealth of information. Of course it is impossible to compile a "complete" guide to spreads, but this gives a great selection, and it is a guide for "complete idiots" (you don't have to be a complete idiot to benefit from this though!) rather than a complete guide for idiots. It gives upright and reversed meanings for all the cards, making it suitable for a beginner. As it is written by two authors, you get to hear two different viewpoints which complement each other. The authors write in a friendly tone, with a does of good humour, making it a very readable text. You'll most likely keep coming back to this one!
