It seems very expensive but this collection is so very worth it. Not only do you get every far side cartoon ever printed, you get a collection cartoons that were never printed, essays and comments from Gary Larson it is well worth purchasing and keeping around the house.

It also weighs a tonne and provides for a handy bludgeoning tool if you happen to need one.

It's the complete Far Side! How could you go wrong with that? It's printed on good quality paper, well-bound, and makes an excellent replacement for a set of aging and yellowing Far Side paperback collections. A lot of these cartoons are in colour, so the ultera-completist might want to keep their old purely black-and-white collections. It's also complete, and features cartoons that don't seem to appear in other collections. The only downside is the immense size. Even in two volumes, these are books of substantial size and weight, and will need an oversized bookshelf.

i've never been a fan of the far side illustrations. i don't see the funny side to it at all. the comic just makes me cringe to be honest. although, for people that are fans of the comic strip, this book would be a good investment. all of the comic strips are in here, all laid out nicely.
