I read this book for a class on Church and Culture and found it very difficult to read. McLaren thinks and writes from an emergent and post-post modern perspective, improperly balancing the intergration of culture into the church. His material is not strongly supported by Scripture and is dodgy in its applications. Although, there are some good challenges for the church that are framed by some of his suggestions. Not worth owning but if interested worth reading for challenge sake.
