About the Author

Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1991 with a BA (hons) in Educational Media Design, I became an in-house designer and illustrator for the then Manchester based branch of Egmont Childrens' Books. After a year of invaluable experience working with an amazingly talented and motivated team, I decided to go freelance, and have been busily and happily doodling away ever since. I have continued to produce illustration work for Egmont books, along with many other companies both in the UK and Internationally. Ragdoll, ELC, Boots, Oxford University Press, and Marks and Spencer,to name but a few. I have many other interests, one of which is glass beadmaking, which allows me another outlet for my love of creating little characters. I feel very lucky to be able to spend my time doing something I love and sharing it with others.
