The spectacular third novel in the phenomonally successful INHERITANCE Cycle.
This one is just as great as the other two, a little too much explanation in parts or is it that i cant wait to get to the good stuff?
One draw back is that the trilogy ended up being four books, so when i bought this one i thought i was finally going to find out all the story line. Alas i'll have to wait until the next one is finished, Get writing Mr Paolini, i'm waiting with baited breath. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed it, and am happy that he had so much to fit into it, he coulnt finish the trilogy in three books. Stay tuned for the fourth. I didn't find the book too predictable, the writing style was entertaining, and it was a great adventure. Not in the calibre of Fiest's early work, but still good.
Christopher Paolini had his first book published when he was 15, much to his own detriment. Having had his writing thus praised, he has appeared to see no need to improve his grip on the craft, and his two published novels are badly-edited bricks full of purple prose and a plot lifted straight from Star Wars. I would hope that Brisingr could surpass the low bar he's set for himself, but then, I thought that about Eldest. And at least that one had a pronouncable title.
