This book was very good! It continues with the story of the dreaded love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon. They are faced again with a bunch of nasties coming to get them and this time it might be harder than it seems to get rid of them. It was a lot longer than previous books but the story doesn't get boring at any point. highly recommended.

Awesome book! LJ Smith excels in this genre for teens, se definitely beats the Twilight saga... i recommend LJ Smiths novels over Meyer anyday!

I didn't enjoy this addition to the series at all! It is written like she only wanted to cash in on the success of the TV show. It was too modern compared to the previous edition, and lacked the "Can't put down" effect that all the others had. I probably will not even read the next installment to find out what the conclusion is.

I REALLY enjoyed this book, I am very glad that L. J Smith continued this series. The change in Elena's situation is so original and different from all the other books in this series, but I loved it all the same. I also loved the progression in Damon's relationship with everyone, and the ending was such a big surprise! I absolutely adored this book, and am anxiously anticipating the next installment.
