After singing the song to my daughter for years before actually buying the book, this is great! My 4 year old (and my 7 year old) really love singing (rather than reading) this book and doing the actions. My 4 year old makes me sing it all the time now! We take turns reading it and coming up the sounds to accompany the adventure. Absolutley timeless (and ageless). My 12 month old son loves to watch the antics as we go through the story. The board book is also brilliant for little hands. Highly recommend it for littlies.
My 2 year old daughter loves this book. I read it in rhyme and with actions. She copies the action and is starting to know what is coming up and makes the sounds or says the words. A great buy.
My 22 month old daughter absolutely loves this book and even tells half the story as we read it so often. Great thick board book for toddlers fingers and great contrast between black and white pages and colour pages.
We bought this book for my 17-month old son because it was his favourite book at daycare. He does all the actions, and gets so excited when they find the bear. He also learned to say the phrases "oh no!" and "uh-oh!" from the book. Very educational and interactive.
this book has a very good rhythm that is great for children from about 2 years onwards as the rhyme in the book really helps with memory and gives them a sense of adventure they can use in day to day life.
Follow the family as they trek through the wilds in hunt for a bear! They're not scared! But what will happen when they actually do find a bear? You'll have to read this classic children's book to find out. It really is a brilliant little book, and a valuable addition to any children's story book collection.
Beautiful pictures, a great fun story - no wonder this is a classic. This board book version is perfect for my 9 month old who's beginning to find books really fascinating but doesn't have the dexterity to turn the pages carefully. He'll still be reading it in five years time, if not ten!
This is a goregous book, from the familiar text to the beautiful illustrations. It is a wonderful book to read to young children and with the sturdy pages they can "read" it too. For Playschool fans, keep in mind some of the words are different to the familiar song but the gist is still the same. We love it.
