About the Author

Tom Hingley was born in 1965 in Abingdon, Oxford, the seventh and youngest child of an Oxford Don. Tom rose to fame in the late 80s with psychedelic band Inspiral Carpets, who enjoyed 15 top 20 hits, appeared on Top of the Pops seven times and sold a million records worldwide. Tom gained a degree in English Literature at Manchester Metropolitan University, is a visiting lecturer at Salford University and tours constantly as a solo artist and with his band The Lovers.
