Very useful book, best buy I have made in ages. It is well organised and straight forward with great diagrams to assist understanding. Lots of excellent examples and obviously written by someone with experience, talent and strong communication skills. This is a great book to assist an amateur looking to cover a wedding for the first time or an established wedding photographer looking for a way to make improvements. I particularly like his off camera flash techniques and have used the techniques with great success.
I highly reccommend this book to anyone who wishes to take flattering images of people.
It is not just a wedding photographers book. David goes through the basic(as in best and simplest) lighting for portraiture.
Buy this book, practise what David preachs; and watch your photography improve before you eyes.
Seriously, its that good.
You can take only his basic lighting setup; or follow thru with his more involved setups( which require assistants.)
An excellent book, well worth the money. The techniques are explained well and have the photgraphy to back them up.
