Louis Theroux's TV shows have a huge following, and Louis' interview technique and personality are very central to what draws in the viewers. These skills transfer extremely well to book format. There is a well established interest in weird America, reflected in the success of books such as Jon Ronson's Them and TV shows like Jerry Springer. Louis is an excellent writer and the book will stand alone as a gripping work of humorous travelogue. A major seller in hardback.

Louis Theroux went to America after graduating from Oxford University, where he wrote for satirical magazine Spy. After working on Michael Moore's TV Nation, Louis hosted his own show, Weird Weekends for the BBC. He followed this with the hugely popular series Louis meets... in which he spent time with, amongst others, Jimmy Savile, Neil and Christine Hamilton, and Chris Eubank. This is Louis first book.
