Ann Granger has worked in British embassies in various parts of the
world. She met her husband, who was also working for the British
Embassy, in Prague and together they received postings to places as
far apart as Munich and Lusaka. They are now permanently based in
Oxfordshire.
Her first novels were historical romances published under the nom
de plume Ann Hulme. Bill Wallis is a British character actor and
comedian who has appeared in numerous radio and television roles,
as well as in the theatre. Wallis's most frequent radio appearances
have been on BBC Radio 4 for The Afternoon Play and the Classic
Serial, but he was also in the cast of the long-running sketch show
Week Ending. He has also narrated many children’s books.
