It is a little dry for my tastes. I work in the financial sector and have personally done well in other types of trading, but this book failed to interest me in the world of currency trading. It gives a good coverage of the issues, but seems to take ages to get to any sort of point. Handy as a reference book but not the kick-start I needed to give currency trading a try.

I bought this book because I have become involved with importing goods from China recently which requires payment in US dollars, and I wanted to gain a better understanding of what drives the currency exchange rate.
The book covers a lot of information and goes into a lot of detail on currency trading.There is quite a bit of information on the $US/$NZ currency pair which is what I am interested in. The book is a good introduction for the beginner to currency trading, with the main thrust of the book geared towards opening and operating an online trading account. After reading the book,I am not sure if I would want to go down the path of a currency speculator as it requires a lot of time and energy to keep up with all the market developments in two or more countries, not to mention all the technical analysis required to make a successful trade.
Never the less, this book is a good reference to refer to if you want to start trading at some stage.
