What a fantastic book - an excellent choice for teens, with a message of hope and forgiveness. The underlying themes throughout the story are consistent with a Biblical world view but can certainly have a positive influence on anyone who reads it. I agree with the review above - very thought provoking.
Excellent book to get the bigger picture on what life was like in the Roman Empire during the time of Jesus Christ. The story revolves around a boy, Daniel, who has fierce hatred for the Romans and is determined to join a group of rebels who fight the Romans with weapons and force, but as the book winds down we find that Daniel discovers a man who responds in just the opposite way - Jesus. A very thought provoking read.
