In my opinion "The Body In Action" by Sarah Key would have to be one of the best and easiest books on keeping the body supple that any one that suffers from this complaint could wish to read.It is easily understood by explanation of how the body works ,what can go wrong with it and why, and what one can do about correcting thes problems.
I was so impressed through trying her methods I bought copies for my family and have a spare that I lend out to friends that have a need.
Wonderfully writte, compulsive reading for those who want to know how the body works. The opening description of a cycler in action is pure magic. Each joint of the body is described in everyday language, with clear illustrations, followed by descriptions of what can go wrong. Then come the graded exercises which, if taken slowly, actually work to address pain in that joint. I was told by a specialist that only a hip operation would cure the damage and end the pain, but now I can make all hip movements without pain and can walk freely. I have also proved that the back exercises work like a charm . . and the shoulder exercises . . . and the knee exercises . . . etc. etc. I now buy the book for friends and relatives.
