I received this book as a gift and have been very impressed with it.
Each of the recipes that I have tried have turned out perfectly.
There is something for everyone - a fantastic orange cake, a moist chocolate cake, jams and you have to try the scone recipe - it never fails!
The book includes some lovely photos and historical information from the Agricultural Shows of South Australia.

My girlfriend had a copy of this book and she lent it to me to have a look at. I fell in love with it and immediately ordered a copy for myself.
This is the best cookbook I have ever bought. Every recipe I have tried so far has been a success.

It is a recipe book of show winning recipes from different towns around Australia with a story to go with each recipe.

Not at all complicated and not long listed ingredients, but simple down to earth recipes.

It would make a wonderful gift.

I've had this book since it was published and have tried many of the recipes. They are fool-proof. The book itself is a wonderful source of information, and is beautifully presented - as good as any "coffee table" publication, but infinitely more useful. Beginner cooks will find it a terrific help, while experienced cooks will find great tips to make their cooking even better. Recommended.
Just one query - am curious as to how the age range was decided (15-20 years). This is a book for ALL ages, and is most certainly not aimed at any one particular demographic.
