For a long time, I have been looking for books that were interesting to read, yet at the same time not overtly filled with blood and gore. Mercy is a strong woman who is not oversexed, which makes her a very interesting character. The plot and other characters in this book were also remarkable. I really like the fact that it is a thriller, not a romance book disguised as a thriller, with some weak overly-sexed bimbo getting together with a hard macho werewolf. This is a really good book. I haven't read such a good fantasy-horror-thriller in a long time.

This book was a great read. It is the second in the series and does refer back to some tevent from the first. The story however is strong enough to be read on its own. Mercys abilitys as a "Walker" are further revealed and her relationships with the werewolves and vampires reveal things about her.
I would reccommed this to anyone interested in paranormal fiction.

This is the second book in the series and it was great and also even scary in a few places.
Mercy's relationships with the werewolfs begin to develop a little further in this book and if you love vampires you'll love this because although we met Mercy's Vampire friend in the first book, we didn't really get to know much about him and the author's view on Vampires. In this book you get that insight into the vampire world and Mercy's unique ability to be immune to some of their power.
Mercy has a few admirers!!

If you have read "Moon Called" (Patricia Briggs), you must read Blood Bound. It is extremely hard to put down. Blood Bound is a continuation from the first book & has all the same characters and some new ones. Blood Bound is mostly about the local vampires, and Stafen her very good vampire friend. When he come to ask Mercy for a favour, she some how ends up in all the normal trouble. But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself. For the novel, i give it a 6 out of 5. Mush better then "Moon Called".

The first time I read Blood Bound, I could not put it down and I took every break at work I was aloud. Once I had finished the book, I wanted to start it over again. The story rolls of the pages and keeps you going all the way to the end. I love the way the characters work together and the conflicts they have. The people that Mercy collects keep changing and there characters keep growing in every book. Ones who you think are not nice turn out to be favorites. Just a really great read.
