I found this book after having been dissapointed by another which advertised being about small house design. While the other was unsuccessful this is a spectacular book for the energy concious among us who wish to build or find their own little light footed home. The Big Book of Small House Design demonstrates that smaller doesn't necessarily mean cramped or cluttered and can even sometimes mean spacious and light filled. It's all about being clever with design and this books succeeds in demonstrating how this cleverness can begin. The best part is it's not just a discussion about things should be it also demonstrates how they can be with floorplans, section views and discussion with owers of small homes. Would like to see more urban examples but other than that, no complaints here. A great buy for anyone interested in creating their own small joy.
