About the Author

Bridget Hart is a poet, musician, blogger and activist living in Bristol. In 2013 they put together a small zine of poems which was apparently so good someone got the cover art tattooed on their leg. In 2014 Bridget and fellow punk poet Henry Raby embarked on the Riot Nrrrds tour which went into both poetry and DIY spaces and was recorded for Apples and Snakes Home Cooking podcasts. Bridget is most comfortable performing in cramped kitchens and sweaty living rooms, delivering poems to people not likely to turn up to a poetry night. They have performed at various festivals including Boomtown and Green Gathering and has opened her big mouth at theatres, pubs, caravans, squats and backrooms across the country.

Reviews

'Hart's poetry is like a ferret. It can be your best friend, or bite your face off.' Henry Raby; 'Here is a collection of poems which whispers, growls, mumbles and shouts about female experiences. Powerful, and everyday. Real, and imagined. Richly fictional, and bravely autobiographical. Bridget's voice is sharp and smart and surprising, as she drags us by the hand through all the things she knows about what it can mean to be a young woman, without a cliche in sight.' Sally Jenkinson; 'Beautiful, deftly constructed with strength at its heart. This is a gorgeous chapbook.' Megan Beech
