You get what you pay for. I am happy with my purchase; I consider it to be good value for money. My only concern was the way Aust Post handled the delivery. As I was not home, they left the parcel in the garden beside the front door. It was a few days before I realised it was there. The book was a little damp as a result. I would suggest plastic wrapping.

This volume includes the first three books in the Belgariad series.
I read this series when I was 13 years old. The Magician's Gambit is the first book I stayed up all night reading. I still remember the shock of turning that 'one more only' page and realizing that the words were becoming easier to read due to the rising sun.
Belgariad is about a boy named Garion and his part in a prophecy which has spanned thousands of years.
It's a wonderful heroic adventure with a surly teenager who eventually reaches adulthood.

What a great read! The characters in this story all endear themselves to the reader. From the thief to the blacksmith you'll love them all. No need to concentrate too hard just sit back with a bag of chips and take a joyful ride with David and Leigh Eddings.

I loved to read this book! It's full of interesting development which doesn't go too far or neither is too little. You should read it if you have a livid fantasy and love to be carried away into impossible! It's a lovely story with not too much heartache.

I love it! The characters are funny, appealing and very likeable. David Eddings writes with an almost cynical witt that really works in this context. I have read this series several times now and still enjoy it.

This was the first series I read as a teenager and from then on I was addicted to reading. While the writing is aimed at late teens it is so easy and enjoyable that when my old copies went missing I just had to buy replacements for myself and my children.

A series and a writer you can read over and over again without ever getting bored. I read The Belgariad when I was a young adolescene and now I have a young adolescene of my own who is reading it. I still read the series every couple of years as the characters and the writing work their way into your soul. Best set of fiction ever!

I first read this novel as a teenage and quickly fell in love with the series. Ten years on my own copies are tattered and falling apart from so much use. Edding's writes his novels skillfully and with a dry type of witt that makes his characters leap off the page. These novels were also very easy to read unlike some other novels n this genre.

Eddings at his best. The Belgariad series, from beginning to end, is a fantastic read. The characters will amuse and engage you and the plot, unlike some of his more recent works, is fresh and interesting. My own copies are falling apart from the number of times I have read them. I still enjoy them as much as I did as a teenager when I first read them. Highly recommended.
