One of the ultimate feminist companions- every western woman would benefit from reading this book whether they considered themselves a feminist or not. Emma Thompson is said to have recommended it to Kate Winslet, who adored it. Although written in 1990, this seminal work is no less relevant now than it was 16 years ago.
