A husband and wife effort that covers the main aspects of counselling. It's an easy read with great examples.
This book is used at the AIPC for the Diploma course in counselling. Next to topics such as confidentiality, ethics and supervision, it covers how to approach clients with anger issues, depression, grief, etc.

I bought this book as I am studying the AIPC counselling Diploma and have found it extremely helpful in more than one of my workbooks (I am half-way through the course).
It is very well written and easy to understand and follow. Working through Counselling - an overview, Basic principles and skills right through to - Dealing with particular problems and clients.
There are exercises throughout the book if you feel like gaining a bit more skill which I found lots of fun.
There are small quotations on most pages which are great to read and keep in mind.
Thanks for a great read.
