It is a book that is easy to understand and what is even better the series it is based on is now on TV. It is a good book if you are a beginner. And a great book if you want to do some serious cooking

Love, Love, Love this cookbook... So many delicious recipes to try. Have already made at least 5 recipes from the book, much to the delight of my kids..

Rachel Allen is amazing. Her recipes are simple, always work out and really tasty.
Great food that everyone will enjoy and you just keep wanting to turn the page for the next one.

I love love love this book! It is beautifully presented, and everything I've made has actually turned out just like the photos. The recipes range from simple to complex and cover cakes, puddings, breads, tarts, and special-occasion items. There is also an extensive section on basic baking techniques and recipes (including pastry, bread, sponge cake, fillings and icings, sauces, jams and preserves). I was surprised to find a large chapter on baked meals (i.e., savoury items) and some of these are fantastic; the baked risotto is a big hit in our house and means I don't have to stand and stir a pot of rice for half an hour! Fantastic book, highly recommended.

This is a fabulous book! The recipes are really user friendly and all look absolutely delicious. I have made my own pastry before but I managed to make a pie with Rachel's shortcrust recipe and it turned out fabulously. I was so proud of myself!

I highly recommend this book.
