The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) is a kind creature who blows dreams into children's rooms at night while they are sleeping. One night he meets a little girl named Sophie and takes her back to where he lives - only where he lives he is surrounded by much bigger child-eating giants who have plans to wreak havoc on her homeland - so Sophie and the BFG have to come with a plan for how to fix things. Very entertaining read, I enjoyed it. Apparently Dahl based the heroine of the story on one of his own daughters.
