This is a who's who guide for the literary field. Perfect for the newcomer or aspiring author or playwright, this book provides practical advice about who to contact, their contact information, and basic guidelines for various magazines, newspapers, publishers, agents and the like. It also provides a list of courses and assocations.

Definite must-have.

The Australian Writers' Marketplace is a fantastic resource for anyone who is interested in selling their articles, stories, poetry etc.

It is split into sections - Magazines & Journals, Newspapers, Publishers, Agents, Publishing Services, Writers Services, Organisations, Script Markets, Awards/Competitions/Grants & Literary courses. There are also several articles that provide hints and tips on writing and marketing your work.

It's a bit more expensive than an average book, but it is very thick and definately worth it if you are a professional writer or just starting out. It's great having all of the information in one place instead of trying to find competitions or publishing opportunities, one by one, on the internet (and a lot of the information in the book is unavailable on the internet).
