This is the best travel quide to Australia. We bought it for a trip driving around Australia and even found out things about our own home state we never knew before. Using it to discover things about the place you are going before you arrive, we used to accomodation sections the most, it is fantatsic to know what you can get for your dollar and where to head for a good nights sleep before you get to your destination. Then once you are there just consult the things to do section and your day is planned. What a fantastic book, a must have for any traveller of Australia. Lonely Planet delivers again.

This book proved a useful ally while travelling around Australia (From Northern Victoria, up to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon, across the Northern Territory to Cairns, down the east coast to Sydney and finally to Melbourne). It consistently recommended reliable hostel accommodation, cheap places to dine out and insightful information about all of the areas visited.
