About the Author
JOHN H. SEINFELD is Louis E. Nohl Professor and Chairman of the Division of Engineering and Applied Science at the California Institute of Technology, where he has been a faculty member since 1967. SPYROS N. PANDIS is a member of the faculty of Carnegie Mellon University in the departments of chemical engineering and engineering and public policy. He received his PhD at the California Institute of Technology in 1990.
