Brilliant and humorous. Asterix and his friends decide that they want to enter the Olypic Games and just about drive the poor co-ordinator to distraction! Excellent use of quick-wit and puns throughout this book are testement not only to Rene Goscinny's excellent writing skills but also to Andrea Bells superb translations. A laugh-out-loud, feel good and all around outrageous read. Highly reccommended.
Ahh, classic Asterix...unlike the newer ones which are frankly quite disappointing! In this instalment, Asterix and Obelix go to the Olympics and mass hilarity ensues. Definitely one for not only the diehard Asterix fan who can see no wrong ever in the Asterix series as well as those who appreciate quality humour and a good read. If you haven't read it, where have you been all your lives?
