Gaul was divided into three parts. No, four parts - for one small village of indomitable Gauls still held out against the Roman invaders. BOOK 7 The Romans persuade a Gaulish chief to challenge Vitalstatistix to single combat. This poses no threat until Getafix is hit by a flying menhir and forgets how to make the magic potion.

My daughter loves Asterix books. They usually have an audience of all ages, mostly boys from 8 upwards to dads re-reading the stories for themselves or their kids - I know my husband loves them. I recently bought three Asterix titles from Fishpond and other books.
When Getafix the Druid gets hit by a menheir the entire Gaulish village is in panic. How will they hold out against the roman invaders unless they have their Magic Potion? With an intense amount of effort, a great deal of trickery and much frustration Asterix and Obelix are able to eventually work out all of the kinks and after frantic work all of their problems are solved. More or less.
With the Druidgone bonkers the various magic potions that he brews cause a riot of laughs when they produce their zany side-affects. Asterix and Obelix, (as always,) are given the tak of fixing the problem. This time, though the problem is the druid! Unfortunately, the only people who are able to cure Druids are Druids; and the little Gaulish village is fresh out of those. A nice new tale. Thumbs up.
