The Romans may get more than they bargined for when they kidnapped Pepe but so did the Gauls when they kidnapped him back! He's a rude, obnoxious little whiner and adds a very funny complication to Asterix and Obelix's already very hectic mission. Lots of wit, chaos and the usual Asterix-style quirky, slightly warped humour. Brilliant and definately reccommended.
Iberian history and culture come in for the Asterix treatment this time, as Asterix and Obelix attempt to return a little Spanish boy taken hostage by the Romans to his home village. Many allusions to Spanish literature and history (my favourite is the Don Quixote reference) for those who like looking for them; a great little yarn for those who just like to sit back and read.
