A gritty tale told brilliantly by acclaimed author Christie Golden, recounting the events of Arthas' youth, up until such time as he renounced his humanity and willingly succumbed to the Lich King's frosty embrace. Involving events that will be familiar from the Warcraft III game series, in addition to some delightful expansions on the lore, including his rivalry with none other than Kael'thas Sunstrider for the mage Jaina Proudmoore's affections.
