This is a superb book from a superb scholar whose translations of various books of the Old Testament I have alawys enjoyed. This book makes the poetry of the bible come alive, giving the reader excellent guidance on how to read them and on the various literary techniques the biblical authors utilised. It will send you back to the original poems with fresh eyes and deeper insights. Essential.
