Questions in this collection cover a broad range of topics right across the GP curriculum, and are in the same format as AKT questions that form the RCGP AKT examination

About the Author

Michael Houghton qualified from the University of Cambridge in 1978 and after working in London for two years joined a GP training scheme in Manchester. He was briefly a partner in his native Lancashire before moving to Warwickshire in the late 1980s, where he was a GP partner until his retirement in 2013. He was a GP trainer of long standing, a former GP tutor, and in 1998 joined the RCGP examining panel. In 2003 he passed MRCP and at this stage developed an interest in providing GP skills in a secondary care setting becoming a GP with a Special Interest in Acute Medicine, at University Hospital, Coventry. Dr Rodger Charlton is Professor of Primary Care Education at Nottingham University and a part-time GP.
