About the Author

BARBARA SIBLEY and MARGARITTE MALFY are co-owners and co-chefs of the two critically acclaimed, Zagat-rated La Palapa restaurants in Manhattan (one in the East Village, one in the West Village). Barbara is a native of Mexico City. Both worked in New York City restaurants for several years before opening the first La Palapa in 2000 and the second in 2003.
