Loved the tv programme that went with this. Have made the busy persons bread - never fails. The harvest sauce is great to keep in the pantry. Strawberry cloud cake is divine - just keep frozen till ready to serve. All her books and recipes are great - down to earth instructions and ingredients are usually on hand. A great addition to any cookbook library.

I enjoyed watching Annabels TV cooking show and wanted an easy reference to follow the recipes from. This book is a happy romp through the garden, its seasons and cooking up the most tasty yet easy to make meals. I recommend it to anybody wanting to start a healthy cooking habit in their home. The book seldome gets to the book shelf in my home.

Love this book! it's a little hard to find what your looking for for as ea chapter is called "larder" or "orchard" etc and food that go into that those categories, but the food is stunning and super easy to make, i especially love how the recipes are modified old school recipes, sticky toffee pud, make your own icecream, preserves, tomato sause, cheese even! very exciting and having a ball making all these. you will never again have to buy condiments from the supermarker again! ooh and the pictures and layout of this book is stunning! and she gives great menu ideas - a full 3 course. with table set up and decorating ideas too! whats not to love!

I love this book! I love cooking and have a wide collection of cookbooks. I was given this as a Christmas present after watching her television series (shown in NZ). I had already tried a few of the recipes from her show and not only were they delicious but very straightforward. It's quite a large book, with glossy photos of the dishes, which I find helpful when trying new recipes. The book has lots of menu ideas when cooking for groups and she gives many tips to help you adapt recipes. I also have one of her other books and the recipes are tried and true, she knows her stuff.
HIghly recommend the Bacon and Egg pie (a kiwi classic) delicious for picnics
The Best Ever Chocolate Cake is delicious, perfect for birthday parties as it feeds the five thousand. I made this for my Father-in-law's birthday and his whole office raved about it for weeks. You make this in one big bowl and one cake tin - minimum washing up.
The crumble topping is delicious
The Cloudberry cake is a non-bake cake perfect for hot summer days
The pork belly recipe is also delicious
