The second volume of comics based on book two of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series is a must for all fans. One of three, this comic has a change of artists and I found the graphics less tight than the first book (I own the collection rather than the individual books), however the story is of course fantastic with Hamilton owning the flow and context. Jean Claude comes across as heartless and cruel yet you see the hints of what is to come in future novels, and just how attracted Anita is to him. The voodoo grandma looks nothing like I imagined her to be, but twice as evil! We also learn more about zombies in this volume, as the story is based around a killer zombie and Anita's pursuit of its maker. This is a great condensed adaptation of the Laughing Corpose and the next two volumes prove just as amazing. Go Anita!
