I finished reading this book today, but its effects have already taken effect: I lost 10 pounds in 2 months. But the most important thing about the book is the way concepts are assimilated and you can really FEEL the changes inside. I think this is just the beginning of a healthy way of eating for years to come. Losing weight will just be one consequence. I had read Fit for Life in the 80's and Allen Carr's book transmits a similar concept, in a different way. I strongly recommend this book even if you are not overweight, for you and your family, specially if you are a parent.

a comment for our disgruntled friend (4/7/07)..it seems to me that with your attitude, your mind is about as closed as a bank on a sunday..i bet you have yo yo dieted for years and struggled with many things in life,a bad attitude
..this book is great..it gets away from conventional thinking which is great if you look at the state of modern society and health..get a new way of thinking...dont get stuck in a rut..remember..the defintion of insanity is to do the same thing over expecting different results

After reading Allen Carr's stop smoking book, I successfully qwit smoking after 12 years of 20 a day.There fore i was in-tregued as to the other books Allen has written for if he can convince people to do the near impossible- well i think he is genius!Easyweigh takes a similar approach to stop smoking but is not instant like the stop smoking. Of course you cant loose heaps of weight over night but with Allens approach to eating, you will soon realise what is good for your body. There is nothing to be afraid of and you can still eat the foods you love, remeber to follow the instructions and your away!!

After reading his quit smoking book which was a brilliant success, I decided to read this book as well and see what the success would be for easyweigh, I would have to say that the book is very average and I am not sure that I would agree with a lot of his theories he talks about I have applied some of them into my daily diet but I have not lost any weight either. so overall I think that if you can follow his directions exactly then yes it will help you lose weight... but if your like me and only believe in half of it then yes you will probaly lose weight but will take a little longer.

I really enjoyed this book by Allen Carr. I had read the Easy Way to Stop Smoking with success, so I thought i would give this book a try. I found it easy to read and I love the way Allen bases his books on fact. I highly recommend this easy to read book. I have found it to work, I hope you feel the same way.

contrary to the last person, i found that this book made me gain weight. i mean what good is a book if it is meant to make you loose weight and it doesn't. and the after taste is horrible. they could have at least have made it cherry flavor or something. I would not recommend this book. don't waste your money but go buy a hamburger instead.
