This book is beautifully presented and has easy to read recipes.

The recipes include all the old classic afternoon tea favourites like scones with jam and cream, cucumber sandwiches and sponge cake as well as more modern takes like friands, portugese custard tarts and pink velvet cake.

Not only can I not wait to start baking, but neither can my friends wait to be invited over for "High Tea".

I was quite dissapointed with this book, I had expected quite traditional recipes that may have been served during High Tea. Alot of the recipes had quite a modern twist. I also expeted a bit of a history of High Tea, like when it started, why it was called High Tea, what was traditionally served. There was no history at all. On the plus side photographed beautifully.
