Richard Knight read music at St John's College, Oxford, and has been director of music at two leading independent schools. He now combines teaching with work as a principal examiner at A level and is on the panel of examiners for the ABRSM. Richard is one of the authors of Elements: The Rhinegold Guide to Key Stage 3 Music and a frequent contributor to Classroom Music. He also presents conferences for students and teachers. As a composer, he has a large catalogue of works to his name, including the oratorio The Crown of Life, a classroom musical The King of Ireland's Son, and various orchestral and chamber works. Richard has a particular interest in all things South American and is also an inland waterways enthusiast.
