Brilliant! As the title suggests this book is filled with, you guessed it! 200 crochet blocks, and well I kind of 'um-ed and ah-ed' about buying it because I was thinking 'well, you can get lots of free patterns on the internet, right?'. Being a beginner though I'm also trying to absorb all the crochet I can get. So I ended up buying the book, partly based on the fact I like the cover picture! I'm so glad I did too. There is plenty in this book to keep one interested for a long time. From beginners to advanced, all blocks are clearly marked with their difficulty levels.

Also this book gives you tips on colour choices, mixing and matching block patterns. It sets out some designs that you could follow, makes suggestions under each block as to others that it might match well with and with two hundred blocks to choose from you can be as creative as you like. It gives a lot of what I would describe as optional guidance. Just the kind of guidance you need at the beginning but unrestrictive enough that the book won't become useless once you know how to do all the stitches!

Excellent book - great colour schemes note: some of the 200 blocks are the same block but different colours schemes, otherwise fantastic book has difficulty ratings on each block. Crochet stitch references & edgings for your blankets thumbs up from me

This book is ideal to get ideas for colour and pattern matching. In case you are a little rusty with your crocheting skills it also provides instruction in the back of the book for correct stitching, joining yarn, sizing squares etc. Has many different patterns and colour ideas and provides pattern plans for making small rugs or large blankets. Well worth buying.

This book is a must have. Its inspiring, not only with the different block designs, but also mixing and maching those blocks to make your very own unique pieces. The techniques are very easy to grasp and theres even a list of actual yarn colours used in the block designs....One of the best crochet books i've seen.

the crochet books i ordered were good but i order this one, and another crochet book. Thinking they were different because there was $2.00 different in the price, but when i recieved them they were both the same book. So be carefull when ordering them.

Excellent book -very easy to follow instructions. Lots of project ideas.
