Although this book looks nice in it's retro format, the recipes are so American, & very 'convenient'. Most of the recipes seem to evolve from 'a can of this' or a 'packet of that', so as a great 'normal' cook, I didn't find the recipes terribly inspiring. However, I've just purchased my second slow cooker for our holiday shack, & this book (& it's buddy, 101 More things to Do with a Slow Cooker), now reside quite happily there.
