I loved this movie. It was a very heartfelt story between Daniel, a teenager being harassed at school and his friendship with Mr. Miyagi. He starts out by learning karate from this quiet man but it soon develops into a warm father-son relationship. Daniel learns courage and respect as well as skills to protect himself. He stands up to and beats the bullies, gets the girl, and the champion trophy in a major karate competition. Recommended for all viewers as well as the two sequels.
