This is a scorching and heartwarming romance. Colin and Amelia have a second chance at love now that Colin has returned but there is danger surrounding him. Their romance starts off mysteriously as Amelia is drawn to the masked stranger and passion soon follows but then the truth is revealed and hurt feelings evolve. It's full of suspense with scheming villains, sizzling romance, charm and witty interactions, and even appearances from previous favourite characters.

Amelia Benbridge has been in love with Colin a gypsy stable boy all her life. But when he was killed as he was trying to prevent her from being kidnapped, she was devastated. It is now, years later, that she realizes she must get on with her life and marry Lord, Ware, who is a very good and steadfast friend. But just as she decides to marry Ware, she meets a tall, dark, masked stranger who attracts her in no like she has ever been attracted before, not since Colin's death. She cannot help herself - she must have him. But can she survive the pain when she finds out she has been horribly deceived.
At last, after reading four of the latest books, I have decided that I am not going to be a Day fan. Some how she just does not connect with me. There's either too much emotion-less sex, not enough story or the story is boring. This book is OK but I think others like Lisa Klyepas do a better job.
