I loved this book. I had previously read Singh's Psy/Changling series and was very sceptical of her foray into this vampire/angel theme. That said, I was hooked straight away and cannot wait until the next book comes out. The story is fantastic (though a bit gory in places - there are a couple of death scenes which can be too easily imagined) and the characters are very well written - Raphael is very scarily sexy (though I'm not sure whether to emphasise his scariness more or his sexiness :o) Elena is tough and holds her own against Raphael - an extreme alpha male. The end of this novel sets up the next book/s in this series nicely. If you enjoyed Singh's other books, then don't hesitate to buy this one. It is worth every penny.

If you like books by J R Ward or Lara Adrian the Nalini Singh books; Guild Hunter will not disappoint. Raphael the Archangel is absolutely gorgeous, black hair, blue eyes, man of few words but no nonsense. Elena the Vampire Hunter with her extra ability, is a kick ass non conformist vampire hunter. Raphael and Elena make for some captivating and suspenseful reading, you can literally feel the tension in the air when these two are in the same room. Not only can you picture what the characters look like as though they are right in front of you but you can smell them as well. The way Nalini writes is just brilliant. If you are a nail biter be assured you will be left with no nails by the time you finish the book. Be prepared to shed the odd tear.
Luckly there is a sequel to this book otherwise you will find yourself having major withdraw symptoms. A complete page turner.
Highly recommend.

I read this book having not read any other of Nalini Singhs books...i absolutely loved it.in fact i think this series has the potential to outshine her psy-changeling series. This book has all the right amounts of romance and suspense...as well as having an awesome kick ass heroine who shows vulnerability...i would recommend this book to those who like authors like ilona andrews and jeaniene frost

Wonderful book. If you are a fan of Nalini Singh, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait for the next in the series. If you like a strong hero and an equally strong heroine, you're in for a treat.
